  This collectable monograph is a CINEMATIC VISUAL look at the sculptural buildings of Brasilia made famous by architect OSCAR NIEMEYER. Photographed by renowned architectural photographer and architect LEONARDO FINOTTI. Many of the pages are set to motion to show the wide landscape of the buildings with audio commentary or music soundtrack that can be chosen to accompany the visual drama.

SET AUDIO TRACKS

By touching the Audio Button from the slide up menu, the user can choose from several audio tracks to set while leafing through the book. An interview with writer/curator Brooke Hodge on her take on Brasilia along with two cinematic music soundtracks from Valdi Sabev provide multiple ways to experience the visual narrative of Brasilia.

With over 50 pages of full page photographs , audio, and text there are several reasons to bookmark pages. ABOUT THE CITY OF BRASILIA

In the early 60's the newly elected president of Brazil Juscelino Kubitschek commissioned three visionary builders with constructing a new modernist capital for Brazil. Principal architect Oscar Niemeyer, landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx and architect Lúcio Costa as the city planner set about to create a place that would vault Brazil into architecture history with the Modernist Utopian Vision that became BRASILIA, one of the greatest planned cities in the world.
